I have to say I'm very disappointed with the result. I'd so much prefer a vintage beetle. I even bought a lil vintage beetle model. Its size? is 1:87 with flowers on it. Well, i didnt hav alot of choices but its nice no? and i recently realised that the sunroof thing that i'd like on a beetle is called ragtop!

Bintan 31 May - 2nd Jun 06

well, aft coming hm for abt a week, i left for Bintan with 6 other classmates. It was fun, very fun. I bunked with Stella & Jess, slept in the surprisingly comfy extra bed. On the 1st day, Bintan shocked us with a thunderstorm, so we came up with the silly idea of teru teru bozu or qing tian wa wa, made with tissue & strands of hair. lol. The rain did stop shortly aft, but we realised later that was the norm in bintan & not cos of our teru teru bozu.

Aft which we went swimming in the pool at Nirwana, & most of us ordered 'Snowy' at the poolbar. Cheap & nice! Most of the time jus lookin at shuai ges & mei nus hehe. not really lah. Cos not much pple there.

2nd day we went for seasports, banana boat was fun! the other 3 jap gals sitting behind us were loud n funny, they kept laughing & i couldnt help but laughed with them.

aft banana boat we went scuba diving. it was then i got seasick, i wasnt feeling much on the boat but when i got into the sea, it was terrible. Although i didnt hav my glasses with me, but i did manage to see the fishes & some very blur corals. i liked it but the seasickness was gettin to me, so i tried to stable myself with a protuding rock (or so it seems) but scratched my hand & leg instead. a guide then helped me by holding my hand & guiding me ard the place, it did feel better when i was facing down toward the sea. Time seemed to pass faster, the guide tried to show me some fishes & corals but it was slightly deeper & couldnt see anything but tried to pretend i could see it. lol. silly i know.

anyway, the guide is my hero aft tt. lol. Aft scuba diving, as i was still feelin unwell & tt my hand was bleeding. i didnt join the rest for a 2nd round of banana boat. it was much much more fun & exhilirating than the 1st, & Jas fell into the sea whereas Stella & Qing fell inwards into the boat.

When we least expected, Jess got stung by a jellyfish. They were gettin off the banana boat & wading to shore when it happened. Jean & i didnt suspect a thing until we saw the guide(same person tt guided me) rushing onshore to get vinegar(i think) to spray on Jess's leg. Poor Jess, but her leg is more or less better now, just hav to stay away from seafood.

Later then i realised it was the guide that grabbed the jellyfish away frm Jess's leg n threw it on the shore. So basically he is both our hero. but too bad we didnt get to take a pic with him. haiz. lol.

oh & till now i'm still scared of Lay's BBQ flavoured chips, & any other chips tt share a resemblance to it, cos of i had too much of it on the last day.

It was fun, i love the beach, i love the sun (though i hate getting dark), i simply love the place, & of cos e pple. I look forward to the next trip, somewhere else most likely.

Shanghai, Suzhou, Nanjing & Hangzhou

Its been more than a month.. i've got so much to write i dunno how to start.

ok i went to Shanghai for about 11 days with Jas, came back on 23 May. Stayed with min at her bf's super high class condo. hehe. within that time the 4 of us went to Suzhou for a day trip. Then me & jas went to Nanjing for 2 nights & Hangzhou 1 night.

we travelled by train n gotta queue to buy tickets ourselves at Nanjing and Hangzhou. it was quite a challange, we wanted the faster train and better seats "soft seats" but we didnt know tt at the time so we got tickets for the normal train n so called lousier seat "hard seat" instead. so we ended up spending 7hrs in the train from Nanjing to Hangzhou and got to see how majority of the locals travel. We got smarter the second time bought tix for the faster train but still "hard seats". anyway its much better than the first, even had tv in the train.

I loved the train rides, actually the "lower class" train had more feeling to it, the people are quite friendly too, although cleaniness is not exceptional but its bearable. they also had a salesman goin carriage to carriage selling socks. I liked the salesman, very funny. i must admit i was tempted at 1 point. hehe Jas had a tougher time being a clean n neat freak that she is. Poor jas.

I think of the places we went, both me n Jas liked Hangzhou most. Its a very beautiful n relaxing place. we just hung out at a lakeside open-air cafe/bar called Barossa, they had a very cute waiter & a very sexy dancer though she only did 1 dance to a song by Shakira. Hot! lol.

I like Shanghai alot too, we were staying at Pudong area, which is a newer area & more business oriented, like CBD. Most of the more interesting stuff to me is in Puxi. The flea markets, fake goods market, antiques market, old shanghai are there. the old buildings, streets, the people, i like them all. spitting & stuff.

ok all in all i love China, I've been there quite a few times, various mountains and places, huang shan, wu tai shan, pu duo shan, shao lin shi, tian shan, wu lu mu qi, xin jiang area, huo yan shan., etc. ok lotsa shans, mountains, so i like climbing them, anyway alot of it i went when i was younger with my grandma, and i cant remember much detail or even places i went. but alot of temples n mountains n stuff.

still i'd love to go there again, theres still alot of places to see n i wouldnt mind goin back to some places which i've already been.

erm i dont hav the pics with me yet, we took alot with Jas's camera so i dont hav them yet. will post some when i hav em.
